The Red Bull Air Race World Championship is a world renowned event with the Australian round of the championship held in Perth, Western Australia.
This event can be held almost anywhere, from the heart of the city to the open countryside, over land or water. Perth offers one of the best locations the Red Bull Air Race has ever seen - the City's Langley Park transformed into the Air Race 'airport' merely metres away from the aerial race track over the Swan River, the city skyline providing the perfect backdrop.
Perth hosted a round of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and looks forward to the event returning on 17 and 18 April 2010.
This is one of the most innovative world championships on the sporting calendar. Spectacular backdrops teamed with jaw-dropping stunts guarantees spectators an exhilarating and exciting experience.
Precision flying through an air gate at speeds up to 400kph is tough... doing it 10 metres off the ground is what makes the Red Bull Air Race the most challenging motorsport in the world.
